I'm a Mexican-born Australian mixed media artist. My bicultural upbringing introduced me to mystic European mythology and Mexican folklore. Combining these ideas with geometry and bright colours, I create paintings with detailed puzzles and sculptures. Rich, bright textures conjure up ideas from surrealism, magic, alchemy, astrology and psychology. Devils are some of my main characters, representing the dark side of the psyche, the shadow in the human experience.
